Apple has updated Java for Mac OS X today with two releases for Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.4: Java for Mac OS X 10.4, Release 7 delivers improved reliability and compatibility for Java 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 and Java 1.4 on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and later. This release updates J2SE 5.0 to version 1.5.016 and Java 1.4 to version 1.4.218. Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 2 delivers improved reliability and compatibility for Java SE 6, J2SE 5.0 and J2SE 1.4.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.4 and later. The updates are available in your Mac OS X software update.
Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6 delivers improved compatibility, security, and reliability by updating Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_29. Mac OS X v10.6.7 Supplemental Update for 13″ MacBook Air (Late 2010). This update addresses an issue that makes the system unresponsive when using iTunes.
